Rapper Nelly was arrested early Wednesday for suspected illegal drug possession at a St. Louis-area casino after Missouri Highway Patrol officers found four ecstasy pills on him. The 49-year-old rapper was held in Maryland Heights, home to the Hollywood Casino and Hotel. He also had an outstanding warrant for a previous charge of not having proof of insurance for a vehicle.
Nelly, known for hits like “Hot in Herre” and “Just A Dream,” is a three-time Grammy winner and recently toured with Janet Jackson. His representatives have yet to comment, but his attorney is expected to issue a statement. Nelly was previously arrested on drug charges in 2015 and accused of sexual assault in 2017.
