The Nationalist Congress Party, NCP the president Jayant Patil during the press conference in Mumbai on July 02, 2023 informed the media that his party has filed the Disqualification Plea against the 9 defected leaders in the Maharashtra leader Assembly.
It has been stated by Maharashtra NCP that the president Jayant Patil that his party moved the Disqualification petition against the Arjit Pawar and eight others who took oath as the ministers in the Eknath Shinde led state government.
The said party has also approached the Election Commission wherein it is stated that the party workers from all the districts stand firmly with the NCP chief Sharad Pawar. The party founded by Sharad Pawar in 1999 which suffered a vertical split during the day after his nephew Ajit Pawar broke ranks and has joined the Shiv Sena-BJP government as the deputy chief minister. The eight other NCP, MLAs which includes staunch Sharad Power loyalists like Chhagan Bhujbal and the Dilip Walse Patil were being made the ministers.
