National Conference Chief and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Farooq Abdullah, revealed that the alliance between the National Conference (NC) and Congress for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be confirmed after the final alliance meeting headed by NC Vice President Omar Abdullah scheduled for tomorrow.
Farooq Abdullah addressed the media, stating that the NC will contest all three seats in Kashmir. The alliance, known as the INDI Alliance, has communicated its decision to contest the three Kashmir seats, while discussions are ongoing for the remaining three seats in Jammu, Udhampur, and Kargil (Leh).

“I think tomorrow Omar Abdullah will hold the final meeting of the alliance, and it will be finalized how things will go ahead. We have an alliance; we will work in alliance and will try to take this state forward unitedly,” added Farooq Abdullah.

Responding to inquiries about potential discord with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Farooq dismissed concerns, emphasizing that their focus is on winning the seats. “I don’t know anything else”

Farooq Abdullah highlighted that the alliance aims to secure victory in all six seats in Jammu and Kashmir, leaving the outcome to divine providence. The announcement follows Farooq Abdullah’s recent meeting with Congress Working President Raman Bhalla, where various issues, including alliance coordination, were discussed for over half an hour.
