Navya Naveli Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has officially begun her journey at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. She has enrolled in the BPGP MBA program, where she will study for the next two years. This exciting milestone marks a significant step in Navya’s career, as she follows her passion for business and education, deviating from her family’s storied legacy in the film industry.

Taking to Instagram, Navya shared her elation with her followers by posting a series of photos from the IIM campus. In her post, she wrote, “Dreams do come true !!!!!! Home for the next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! Navya also gave her followers a sneak peek into her life at IIM by sharing pictures of the lush green campus and the friends she has already made there. In one of her Instagram stories, she is seen cutting a celebratory cake, thanking her teacher Prasad for guiding her through the CAT/IAT entrance exams. This gesture reflects her gratitude and excitement as she embarks on this challenging yet fulfilling journey.

Navya’s Clear Career Path: No Interest in Acting

Despite her strong connections to the Bollywood industry, Navya has made it clear that she is not interested in pursuing a career in acting. This was reiterated by her mother, Shweta Bachchan, during an event in June, where she emphasized that Navya has chosen a different path. “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does and she has her hands full. I don’t think Bollywood is the way to go for her,” Shweta stated while accepting an award on behalf of her daughter for the podcast they co-hosted, What The Hell Navya.

Focus on Business and Social Impact

Navya, who has previously hosted the podcast What The Hell Navya with her grandmother Jaya and mother Shweta, has always shown a keen interest in social issues, particularly those related to feminism and the role of women in society. At a young age, she decided to pursue a career in business rather than following in the footsteps of her grandparents, uncle Abhishek Bachchan, aunt Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, or brother Agastya Nanda. Reflecting on her decision, Navya told Hindustan Times, “Well, I also come from a business family too. So, I was very clear that I don’t want to join acting and do this. At the end of college, I realized that this is what I wanted to do.”

With her enrollment at IIM Ahmedabad, Navya Naveli Nanda is set to build a career grounded in business and social impact, leveraging her education to make a difference in the world. Her journey at one of India’s top management institutes is just beginning, and she is already making waves with her determination and focus.
