The highly acclaimed film Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, achieved significant recognition at the 70th National Awards 2024. Producer Karan Johar and director Ayan Mukerji were presented with the National Film Award for Best Film in AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comic) during a ceremony held on Tuesday at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, by President Droupadi Murmu.
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva garnered awards in several categories
The film garnered awards in several categories, including Best Male Playback Singer, which was awarded to Arijit Singh for the hit track “Kesariya.” Additionally, Pritam received the award for Best Music Director (Songs) for his work on Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, with VFX supervised by Jaykar Arudra, Viral Thakkar, and Neelesh Gore, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva is the first installment in the planned trilogy set in the Astraverse. The film features a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni. The storyline follows Shiva, a DJ who discovers his unusual connection to the element of fire and his ability to awaken the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapon with the potential to destroy the universe.
