Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: PM Modi's First Reaction to Elections Result

As the nation eagerly awaits the outcome of the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and BJP leader Dinesh Sharma exudes confidence in his party’s success, expressing certainty that Narendra Modi will serve as Prime Minister for the third consecutive term.

Sharma remarked on the commencement of vote counting, highlighting the enthusiasm for PM Modi evident in surveys and among the electorate. He dismissed opposition claims, suggesting that Rahul Gandhi’s rhetoric of “daga dag, data dag” (betrayal) may have been countered by a different reality on the ground.

“With overwhelming support for PM Narendra Modi, I am confident that BJP will secure victory for the third time,” Sharma stated, asserting that Modi will continue to lead the nation and accomplish significant tasks in his third term, akin to the legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru.

Amidst the electoral process, stringent security measures have been implemented to ensure the smooth conduct of vote counting for over 8,000 candidates across the country. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar emphasized the robustness of the system, detailing the extensive arrangements in place across approximately 10.5 lakh booths.

Exit polls indicate a favorable outcome for the ruling BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with projections suggesting an improvement over its 2019 performance when it secured 352 seats. If these predictions hold true, PM Modi is poised to make history by becoming the first Prime Minister since Nehru to win three successive terms in Lok Sabha polls.

In addition to the Lok Sabha elections, results for Assembly elections in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh, along with bypolls in 25 Assembly constituencies, will also be declared. The culmination of the electoral process marks the end of a seven-phase voting period spanning from April 19 to June 1.
