After getting relief from the Rajasthan High Court, Munesh has once again assumed the position of the Mayor. Munesh Gurjar, along with his supporters, arrived at the municipal office and took charge. During this time, Munesh’s support was evident. After assuming the position of the Mayor in the municipal corporation, Munesh Gurjar said, “The path of truth can be difficult, but not impossible. This victory is the victory of truth. I had full confidence in the judiciary. I had faith in God. The result is that I have had the opportunity to take on the role of Mayor for the third time. Therefore, I want to say, ‘Satyameva Jayate’ (Truth alone triumphs).”
First suspended on 5 August, however, the High Court stayed the suspension on 24 August. On 4 August 2023, the ACB raided the residence of Jaipur Heritage Nagar Nigam Mayor Munesh Gurjar. The team arrested the Mayor’s husband Sushil Gurjar, and two middlemen. Sushil was accused of demanding a Rs. 2 lakh bribe to settle a plot issue.
