In a major update concerning the Mumbai hit & run case, the police have managed to get access to the CCTV footage of absconding accused Mihir Shah.

As per CCTV footage, the son of sena’s deputy leader of Shinde faction, was leaving the pub with his four friends in a Mercedes car.

According to the police, he later changed the car and drove the BMW car, where the driver was sitting in passenger seat.

Furthermore, the accused visited the bar at around 11 pm on Saturday. Then, at around 1.30 am, he left the place. But what’s notable is, that in the mercedes, he isn’t in the driver seat.

Moreover, according to the bar owner Karan Shah, the accused consumed Red Bull energy drink and revealed, that there was no woman in the group and his friend’s consumed beer.

Investigation Till Now

So far, the police have currently detained Mihir’s father Rajesh Shah and BMW driver Rajrishi Bidawat, as the car was in former’s name. In addition, the police have also constituted six teams to capture the accused.

What Exactly Happened?

In the early morning of July 7, the 24-year-old son of Rajesh Shah named Mihir had allegedly crashed BMW into a bike, where a 45-year-old woman named Kaveri Nakhwa got killed and husband Pradip Nakhwa got injured.

Later, the BMW was found empty in Kala Nagar at Bandra East area. Afterward, a forensic team came and inspected the car.

As per police officials, Mihir Shah abandoned the car and fled from the scene in auto-rickshaw and then came to Borivali.

Reportedly, Mihir Shah visited his girlfriend before absconding. Afterward, the police interrogated her regarding the accused.

Currently, the FIR has lodged under BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sahita) under appropriate sections of 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 281 (rash & negligent driving impacting human life), 125-B (endangering life and personal safety), 238 and 324(4).
