A protest is brewing in Madhya Pradesh’s Vindhya region, set to kick off on September 15. The cause of concern is the lack of electricity, which has resulted in many people not receiving their electricity bills.
The person bringing this issue to the forefront is Narayan Tripathi, a BJP MLA representing Maihar in the state. Tripathi has been a vocal advocate for making Maihar a separate district, a demand he’s raised again. He expressed disappointment over Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s unfulfilled promise regarding this matter. What makes this protest interesting is its timing, as it coincides with the upcoming elections. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other BJP leaders are actively campaigning in the Vindhya region, making the electricity crisis a significant issue.
Tripathi has called on all Vindhya residents to join the protest by gathering at their local electricity offices to show their support. It’s worth noting that Tripathi, who previously supported the Kamal Nath government for 15 months, is now raising his voice against his own party’s government.
This move has garnered attention, especially given his history of criticizing the government on this issue for an extended period.
