Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet his potential Cabinet ministers and Members of Parliament (MPs) over tea before the oath ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7:15 pm. Notable figures like Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari have reportedly received calls.

All MPs set to take the oath in the oath Ceremony along with Modi have been invited to his residence for tea at 11:30 am.

According to sources, Rajnath Singh, who triumphed from the Lucknow Lok Sabha seat, is expected to retain his position as the Union Defence Minister.

However, Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party is reportedly not joining the NDA government.

With numerous former ministers losing in the Lok Sabha polls and no immediate Rajya Sabha vacancies, the BJP is likely to introduce fresh faces into the NDA government’s Cabinet.

JD(U)’s Ramnath Thakur confirmed receiving a call, stating, “I got a call around 8:35 am today, and Nadda ji informed me about the tea party. They also sent me an invite for the swearing-in.” He expressed openness regarding ministerial positions, saying, “I don’t have any favorite ministry. Whatever they will give, I will take.”
