A day after winning the election, MLA Balmukund Acharya from Hawa Mahal made the headlines for his aggressive approach towards cleanliness and shutting down illegal meat shops. Once again, he has made the headlines due to his actions. Following the crackdown on the illegal meat shop earlier, MLA Balmukund Acharya has now opened a front against the illegal sale of alcohol after 8 pm. The MLA has directed the relevant authorities to take action.
A complaint was received about the sale of alcohol after 8 pm in the old settlement area of Hawa Mahal constituency. After this, MLA Balmukund Acharya arrived at the spot immediately. He ordered the closure of shops selling alcohol illegally.
Balmukund Acharya called out the salesman, saying, “You are doing wonders, there is no law, it will take just a minute.”
After receiving the complaint, MLA Balmukund Acharya called the officials to the spot and directed them to take strict action against those selling alcohol illegally. Along with this, officials were also instructed to follow the rules. It is worth noting that a ban is imposed on selling alcohol after 8 pm in the entire state. Despite this, alcohol is still being sold after 8 pm in the state.
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had issued strict instructions against those selling alcohol after 8 pm, issuing a rule in this regard. According to the instructions, the SHO of that area would also be suspended. However, after the change of government, alcohol continues to be sold under the shutter after 8 pm in the contractor’s shops.
