In the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly elections, there was tough competition between national parties this time. While the Congress fought based on its plans, on the other hand, the BJP was rebranded under the name of BJP’s star campaigner Modi. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the election results. However, on Saturday, the voting in Rajasthan surpassed the total voting of the previous year after the voting. This time the voting percentage was 75.45, and in the previous elections, it was 74.71 per cent. The Election Commission had extended the voting time by 1 hour. An awareness campaign was also conducted to inform the people. As a result, there was a 0.74 per cent increase in voting this time.
In the elections in Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, along with 26 ministers, were in the election arena this time. Despite the record voting, voting in the constituencies of 18 ministers has decreased compared to the previous elections. The lower voting in the ministers’ areas raises the direct question of whether people do not trust the guarantees of Congress. However, an accurate estimate of the main results can only be made from the seats of the ministers. However, the hard work of the Congress leaders seems to be failing in their own constituencies. Talking about the seats of Congress leaders this time will be crucial. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s Sardarpura seat has also seen a 0.54 per cent decrease in voting this time. This is his traditional seat. In 2018, there was 66.22 per cent EVM voting on the Sardarpura seat, which has now reduced to 65.68 per cent. Meanwhile, on the Sikar Laxmangarh seat, there is a 2.08 per cent increase in voting this time. On this seat, a former member of the Mewar royal family Vishwaraj Singh is in the field against the BJP.
The number of voters decreased in the areas of many prominent leaders
Education Minister BD Kalla was in the election field from the Bikaner East constituency. Voting in Bikaner East decreased by 0.49 per cent. Women and Child Development Minister Mamta Bhupesh was in the election field from the Sikarai Assembly seat of Dausa district. There was a 1.45 per cent decrease in voting in Sikarai. Social Welfare Minister Tikaram Julie was in the election field from the Alwar Rural Assembly seat. There is also a better voting percentage in his seat. Not only this, Vasundhara Raje from the BJP contested from Jhalrapatan.
There is also a 0.26 per cent less voting on this seat. Industries Minister Shakuntala Rawat was in the election field from the Bansur Assembly seat of Alwar district. The voting percentage has dropped significantly in Bansur. This has reduced from 75.35 to only 71.24 per cent voting. There has been a total decline of 4.11 per cent in voting.
