Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday targeted the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government in Gujarat during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to state and said “fakery epidemic” has spread under BJP rule and there is “minimum governance, maximum fakery”.
In a post on X, the Congress President listed out the cases of alleged fraud that occurred in Gujarat recently and said Prime Minister, who belongs to the state, should take some time out and “look at BJP’s Fake Gujarat Model”.
He cited 10 instances of “fakery which thrived in Gujarat” asked if the “BJP government turned a blind eye”.
“Minimum Governance, Maximum Fakery! Pradhan Mantri ji is on a visit to Gujarat. We expect him to take some time out and look at BJP’s Fake Gujarat Model… Here are at least 10 instances of FAKERY which thrived in Gujarat. Did the BJP Govt turn a blind eye?” Kharge said.
The cases mentioned by Kharge include a “fake officer” of Prime Minister’s office, CMO, “fake toll plazas, fake irrigation department offices, fake government offices, fake cough syrup, fake visa scam, fake football betting app scam, fake scientist” who took false credit for Chandrayaan-3 and 98 per cent of “fake notes” of Rs 2000 currency found in Gujarat.
