In a brazen theft, a BMW Z4 valued at ₹80 lakh was stolen from the parking lot of Bastian, a renowned fine-dining restaurant owned by actor Shilpa Shetty. The incident occurred during the early hours of October 27, while Bandra businessman Ruhan Khan, 34, dined with a friend. Khan reported the theft at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park police station.
According to Khan’s statement, he handed his car keys to the restaurant’s valet staff upon arrival at around 1 a.m. When the restaurant closed around 4 a.m., Khan requested his car but faced a significant delay. “The valet couldn’t find my car where it was parked,” he stated.
Suspecting foul play, Khan reviewed the CCTV footage from the basement parking area. The video revealed two unidentified individuals arriving in another vehicle, accessing the BMW, and swiftly fleeing the scene.
The Mumbai police have registered an FIR and begun gathering leads to trace the culprits. They are reviewing surveillance footage for further clues and are urging anyone with information to step forward as they work to recover the stolen luxury vehicle.
