Bihar Election 2025 Phase 2 Voting Live Updates: The second and final phase of the Biharssembly Elections 2025 is underway today, covering 122 constituencies across 20 districts in a high-stakes battle that will decide the composition of the state legislature. More than 1,300 candidates are in the fray, including 12 ministers from the Nitish Kumar-led cabinet and several notable turncoats, like Mohania MLA Sangeeta Kumari and Nawada MLA Vibha Devi, who have changed their allegiance ahead of the polls.
Bihar Election 2025 Phase 2 Voting Time?
Voting began at 7:00 am and will end at 6:00 pm at 45,399 polling stations, of which more than 40,000 are in rural areas, with nearly 3.7 crore voters eligible to cast their votes. During the previous elections held in 2020, NDA bagged 66 of these seats, Mahagathbandhan 49, AIMIM 5, and the rest were shared by others, making this phase important for both alliances.
Security has been intensified with the deployment of more than four lakh personnel to ensure smooth polling, and preparations, including mock polls, have been conducted to ensure a seamless voting process.
With counting slated on November 14, constituencies such as Chakai, Jamui, Dhamdaha, and Chhatapur are in the political spotlight, as some sitting Ministers are seeking re-election. This last phase is thus the culmination of a particularly fraught electoral process for Bihar’s political future.

Bihar Election 2025 Phase 2 Voting Live Updates: The state recorded a voter turnout of 67.14% till 5 pm in the second phase of the Assembly elections on Tuesday, according to data from the Election Commission of India. Kishanganj topped the list with 76.26%, followed by Katihar (75.23%), Purnia (73.79%), Supaul (70.69%), and Purvi Champaran (69.31%). The lowest turnout was in Nawada at 57.11%, followed by Rohtas (60.69%), Madhubani (61.79%), and Arwal (63.06%).
