A massive cloudburst that hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Thursday claimed the lives of at least 12 individuals. The incident occurred at a remote village, Chasoti in Kishtwar, as reported by the PTI.
A massive rescue and relief operation is ongoing to assist the affected people.
Jammu and Kashmir’s lieutenant governor, Manoj Sinha, expressed that he is anguished by the cloudburst. He confirmed that he has ordered police, army, NDRF, and SDRF officials to control the situation.
