Today, on the sacred occasion of Surya Saptami, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha paid his respects to Lord Shri Martand at the revered Shri Martand Surya Temple in Paloura, Jammu.

Participating in the Mahayagya organized by the Shri Martand Tirath Trust, Lt. Governor Sinha offered prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of all individuals. His presence illuminated the auspicious event as he interacted warmly with attendees, extending heartfelt greetings.

Highlighting the rich spiritual legacy of Jammu and Kashmir, Lt. Governor Sinha emphasized the region’s historical significance as a center of learning and spirituality. He underscored its tradition of promoting an inclusive cultural ecosystem and preserving time-honored wisdom.

Reflecting on the vision of ‘Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi’ championed by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Lt. Governor Sinha noted its evolution into a grassroots movement. He urged the community to renew its commitment to fostering social harmony and collectively working towards uplifting marginalized sections of society.

Distinguished personalities including AK Sidha, President of the Shri Martand Tirath Trust; Avtar Krishan, Chairman; TK Tickoo, General Secretary, alongside other members of the Trust, graced the occasion. Additionally, Dr. Arvind Karwani, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants) J&K, and senior officials of the UT Administration were present, further enhancing the significance of the event.
