Supreme Court Registry Issued Public Alert: Fake Website Of Supreme Court Created For Phishing Attack

The Supreme Court in the case observed and has issued the public alert about a fake website of Supreme Court which had been created for phishing attack.
The Supreme Court in the case strongly advised the public at large, to neither click nor share on links they receive without verifying the authenticity.
Further, it has been noted by the said court that this court does not seek any personal information, financial information, or confidential information from any person.
The notice issued can be read as follows:
The Registry, Supreme Court of India has been made aware of the publishing attacks. Thus, the fake website, impersonating the official website has been created and hosted on the URL 1 – http://cbins/scigv.com and https://cbins.scigv.com/offence.
The attackers through the URL – https://cbins.scigv.com/offence the offence of Money-Launderingis soliciting the personal details and the confidential information. Any visitor on the above URLs is strongly being advised not to share and divulge any personal and confidential information, as the same shall enable the perpetrators in order to steal the information.
It ahs strongly been advised by the Registry that the public at large, to neither click nor share on links they receive without verifying the authenticity. It has to be noted that the Registry, Supreme Court of India will never ask for personal information, financial details or other confidential information. Also, it needs to
be noted that the Supreme Court of India is the registered user of the domain name www.sci.gov.in and before clicking on any URL always hover over the URL to verify the same.
If in the case you have been the victim of the above phishing attack, please change your passwords for all your online accounts and also contact your bank, credit card company, to report such unauthorized access.
The Registry, Supreme Court of India has taken due concern of the phishing attack and has flagged the same with law enforcement agencies, for investigating the phishing attack and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The notice is being issued in the public interest.
