Bollywood actor Salman Khan has reportedly received a death threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which is demanding ₹5 crore to “end the enmity.” The threat was conveyed through a WhatsApp message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police, warning that failure to pay the sum could lead to a fate worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered, allegedly by members of the same gang.

The threatening message stated, “Don’t take this lightly. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹5 crore. If the money is not given, his condition will be worse than Baba Siddiqui’s.”

In response to the threat, the Mumbai Police have intensified security around Khan’s residence in Bandra. The actor has been on high alert due to previous threats, and this latest incident has heightened concerns for his safety.
Arrest of a Gang Member
On the same day, Navi Mumbai Police arrested a key member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified as Sukha, alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh. He was apprehended in Panipat, Haryana, and is linked to an alleged plot to assassinate Salman Khan. Reports suggest that Singh had contracted other gang members to carry out the attack.
Coordination with Criminal Figures
Police sources revealed that Singh was in direct communication with his handler, Dogar, a figure based in Pakistan, to coordinate the assassination plan. The gang reportedly intended to use high-powered firearms, including AK-47s, M16s, and AK-92s, which they planned to smuggle from Pakistan.

Singh’s arrest marks a significant development in the investigation into the Bishnoi gang’s conspiracy against Khan. Earlier this year, Navi Mumbai police filed an FIR against 18 individuals from the gang for plotting to kill the actor, following an incident where gang members fired shots outside Khan’s Bandra home.

Among those named in the FIR are prominent members of the Bishnoi gang, including Lawrence Bishnoi, his brother Anmol, Sampat Nehra, Goldie Brar, and Rohit Godhara. These individuals have a long history of organized crime and are known for their violent threats.

The police investigation has revealed alarming details about the gang’s surveillance operations. They reportedly deployed 60 to 70 operatives to monitor Khan’s activities, conducting reconnaissance at his Bandra home, Panvel farmhouse, and various filming locations. Some operatives even attempted to recruit minors as sharpshooters.
History of Threats Against Khan
This is not the first time Salman Khan has faced threats linked to the Bishnoi gang. In 2022, a threatening letter was found on a bench near his residence, and in March 2023, he received an email allegedly from gang members. In January 2024, two unidentified individuals tried to trespass into his Panvel farmhouse using fake identities, prompting the actor to enhance security measures.
