An exit poll conducted by VMR-Manorama News has delivered a mixed forecast for the Congress party, indicating a significant decline in Rahul Gandhi’s vote share in the recently-concluded election in the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency.

The poll suggests a sweeping victory for the United Democratic Front (UDF), in alliance with the Congress, in the Kerala Lok Sabha election, projecting 16 seats for UDF and two for the LDF, with a close contest in two constituencies.

According to the exit poll, Rahul Gandhi’s vote share is anticipated to decrease from 64% in 2019 to 50% this time. Notably, the BJP is forecasted to remain without any seats. The results for Alathur and Kannur constituencies are predicted to be closely contested.

In two constituencies, Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta, the exit poll predicts the BJP to secure second place. In Thrissur, the BJP is expected to finish third, with the LDF coming in second.
