Kangana Ranaut’s film “Emergency” has faced another postponement. On Wednesday, the production banner Manikarnika Films issued a statement on their social media platform, announcing the delay in the film’s release, citing the actor’s dedication to her national duties and commitment to serving the country.

Manikarnika Films thanked Kangana Ranaut for the tremendous outpouring of love in an official statement that was shared on Instagram. The statement read, “The release date of our highly anticipated film ‘Emergency’ has been rescheduled as she places a higher priority on her duty to the nation and her commitment to serve it.” We’ll notify you as soon as we know the new release date. I appreciate your ongoing help.”

Originally scheduled for release on June 14, the announcement of “Emergency” release date came shortly after Kangana attended the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya earlier this year in January. The film, directed and written by Kangana herself, was initially slated to hit theaters on November 24, 2023, but faced postponement due to scheduling conflicts.

“Emergency” also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik. The movie delves into the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with Kangana portraying the titular role of the late politician.

Amidst her film commitments, Kangana is actively engaged in campaigning for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. She filed her nomination for the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday, expressing her pride in contesting from the Mandi LS seat. Kangana stated, “Today I have filed nomination from Mandi LS seat. It is a matter of pride for me to have the opportunity to contest from Mandi… I have been successful in Bollywood and I am hopeful that I will get success in the field of politics as well,” as quoted by news agency ANI.
