Actor Wi Ha Jun recently surprised fans as he tried out the Indian game Kanche (marbles), the one in which he plays detective Hwang Jun-ho in Squid Game 2. A clip shared by a fan on Instagram shows Wi Ha Jun reading the game’s rules, explaining, “This is an Indian game called Kanche. Push out five or more marbles to pass.” Though his first attempt at the game failed miserably, he improved soon, and the viewers were impressed with his skills.
Reflected on the probability of Kanche being featured on Squid Game, Wi Ha Jun said, “It would be fun to see Kanche on Squid Game.” This is a series of contestants who risk their lives to win an enormous cash prize, but takes the dark turn in childhood games. In season two, Hwang Jun-ho, a detective, seeks to put a stop to the deadly game in which Wi Ha Jun plays the role.

In an interview with Elle magazine, Wi Ha Jun discussed the effects of Squid Game on his career, which he said “there was a lot of depth to the character.” He mentioned that the process of auditioning was intense, but rewarding; he also had much to talk about in how his newfound fame kept him so busy, but no time for rest.
