Jamia Millia Islamia University will remain closed for half a day (till 2:30 pm) on January 22 due to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya, as per an official notification.
The Officiating Vice-Chancellor approved the closure, and it applies to the university, its maintained institutions, centers, offices, and Jamia schools.

However, exams and scheduled meetings will proceed as usual. The decision aligns with the Centre’s announcement that all central government offices will be closed for a half-day on January 22 for the ‘Pran Patishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla at Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The closure extends to central government offices, institutions, and industrial establishments across the country until 2:30 pm on that day.

Earlier, Centre on Thursday announced that all central government offices will be closed for a half-day on January 22 for the ‘Pran Patishtha’ ceremony of Ram Lalla at Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
