Jammu Kashmir Police foiled a major terror plot to carry out an IED attack in Jammu, In a significant operation, the police in Jammu have successfully uncovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) concealed within a tiffin box and equipped with a timer. The incident transpired on Saturday at approximately 05:30 PM when the police received crucial information regarding a suspicious object located on the Sidhra Narwal highway stretch in Jammu, near a police checkpoint. Acting swiftly in response to this tip-off, a team of police officers, in conjunction with the Police Component Jammu and a K-9 unit, immediately rushed to the scene to investigate further.
Upon inspecting the suspicious item, it was revealed to be a Tiffin Box containing a timer-based IED. The device was found to weigh approximately two kilograms. In the interest of public safety, and after taking all necessary precautions, the IED was successfully neutralized through a controlled detonation procedure.
