CM Bhajan Lal applauds CAs’ vital role in economic stability at Vedaa Conference

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed the two-day national conference ‘Vedaa’ organised by Chartered Accountants in Birla Auditorium on Friday. During this, he said, “India is currently the world’s fifth-largest economy. In this, the significant contribution of the country’s Chartered Accountants is essential. The importance of Chartered Accountants in providing speed and direction to the country’s economy is known to everyone. Just as doctors are essential for the health of citizens, Chartered Accountants are also necessary for the economic health of the country.”
He extended New Year, Youth Day, Lohri, and Makar Sankranti greetings to the Chartered Accountants who came from all over the country and the world, saying that Chartered Accountants play a crucial role in the economic development and stability of the country using their financial knowledge and skills.
The Chief Minister said that the discussions held in this conference will play a positive role in the welfare of the state and the country. Such conferences are very useful for facing the challenges arising from new changes in technology and accounting and sharing mutual knowledge. He urged conference participants to provide suggestions related to the financial management roadmap for the state’s benefit.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said, “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is managing the responsibility of running Chartered Accountancy in accordance with the rules. It is a matter of pride that ICAI is the largest professional body of CAs in the world with more than 11.50 lakh members and students. In India, around 4 lakh CAs are working in public service, with around 30 thousand in Rajasthan. Your role is crucial in fulfilling the resolution of Prime Minister Modi’s vision of developed India.”
He recently congratulated all the youth who passed the CA exam especially Madhur Jain, who secured the first position in this exam from Rajasthan, Tikendra Kumar Singhal, Rishi Malhotra, and the merit holders Vinay Mangatani, Mansi Gupta, and Tushar Jain.
The Chief Minister said, “The Chartered Accountants of the state have demonstrated the strength of their talent worldwide. You have reached this position through your hard work and education. Your duty is to play your role in the welfare of the country.”
He said that CAs ensure compliance with laws along with giving positive suggestions related to improvement in economic and financial performance, and they also establish and review internal control systems beyond business. He said, “I trust you will continue to use your skills and knowledge to contribute to making society better.”
