Jaipur records 75.91% voting in assembly elections

The Rajasthan Legislative Assembly elections were held on November 25 for the 19 assembly seats in Jaipur. This time, the voter turnout was recorded at more than 75.91%, making it the highest turnout in the Jaipur district in the history of assembly elections.
A total of 38,34,407 voters cast their votes through EVMs, 7,500 voters through postal ballots, and approximately 26,293 voters through postal ballots. With this, Jaipur district saw the participation of more than 38,67,750 voters exercising their voting rights.
Out of these voters, 20,23,140 were male voters, 18,11,225 were female voters, and 42 were transgender voters. This means that 76.08% of male voters, 74.35% of female voters, and 56.58% of transgender voters exercised their right to vote.

Voting enthusiasm was seen significantly in the 19 assembly constituencies of Jaipur
The Shahpura assembly constituency witnessed the highest voter turnout with 84.81%. Following this, the Chomu assembly constituency had 84.41%, the Dudu assembly constituency had 79.30%, the Bassi assembly constituency had 78.98%, the Phulera assembly constituency had 78.36%, the Amer assembly constituency had 78.20%, the Kotputli assembly constituency had 77.38%, the Kishanpole assembly constituency had 77.36%, the Jamwa Ramgarh assembly constituency had 77.18%.

Additionally, the Hawa Mahal assembly constituency had 76.74%, the Viratnagar assembly constituency had 76.49%, the Chaksu assembly constituency had 76.29%, the Adarsh Nagar assembly constituency had 73.84%, the Vidhyadhar Nagar assembly constituency had 73.16%, the Bagru assembly constituency had 72.73%, the Jhotwara assembly constituency had 72.21%, the Sanganer assembly constituency had 70.86%, the Civil Lines assembly constituency had 70.66%, the Malviya Nagar assembly constituency had 70.37% of people casting their votes.

Apart from Jaipur, these assembly constituencies witnessed the highest voting turnout:
A maximum of 88.13 per cent of voting was done through EVM in the Kushalgarh assembly constituency.

There was 86.13 percent voting here in 2018. This time 87.79 per cent of voting took place in the Pokaran assembly constituency, whereas in the year 2018 elections, there was 87.50 per cent of voting. This time 86.11 percent voting took place in Tijara compared to 82.08 percent last time.

In compliance with the Election Commission’s directives, from November 14 to November 19, the facility of home voting was provided to citizens aged 80 and above and over 40% of differently-abled voters. More than 96% of registered voters in home voting exercised their right to vote, and out of the 7,230 registered for home voting in the 19 assembly constituencies, 6,970 voters cast their votes from home.
