Following Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s directives, Municipal Corporation Jaipur Heritage Commissioner Shri Rajendra Singh Shekhawat promptly convened a meeting with officers to ensure compliance with detailed guidelines for the city’s cleanliness and beautification. The objective is to prepare for the upcoming conference of Directors General of Police, with Shekhawat instructing all branches to swiftly commence the work.
During the meeting on Friday, Shekhawat directed officials to repair and paint dividers along various city routes, enhance entrance areas—especially those along the Delhi and Agra Road routes—remove garbage, repair walls, and conduct patchwork on roads. Instructions were issued for adequate lighting provision through street light installations, repair of flower pots, cleaning statues at intersections, regular maintenance of trees and plants in gardens, removal of illegal hoardings, cleaning near railway stations, and tidying public walls. The directive also emphasized the cleaning and painting of public walls, beautification of gardens, and installation of additional garbage hoppers for 24-hour waste collection, resembling Quick Response Team (QRT) operations.
To ensure effective supervision of these efforts, Shekhawat appointed Additional Commissioner Headquarters Kartar Singh as the nodal authority. The Commissioner instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Health to conduct continuous reviews in collaboration with CSI and SI.
Additional Commissioner Headquarters Kartar Singh was further instructed to accompany the Additional Chief Engineer and Executive Engineers on December 27th and 29th for site visits. Where additional work is deemed necessary, immediate initiation of the approved tasks was mandated.
The meeting saw the participation of Additional Chief Engineer Mr SK Verma, Deputy Commissioner Manisha Yadav, Saroj Dhaka, Sanju Pareek, Deputy Director Public Relations Moti Lal Verma, Inspector Vigilance Mr Mohan Meena, and all Executive Engineers and officers from various branches.
