The consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 has sparked nationwide preparations and enthusiasm. Jaipur, often referred to as Chhoti Kashi, is no exception, witnessing a surge in anticipation for the establishment of Ramlala.
Residents have already begun preparations reminiscent of Diwali celebrations, with people purchasing lamps and other festive items. The lamp-making industry, a significant trade in Gajsinghpura village on Ajmer Road, is working diligently, employing around four hundred people.
With the grand event scheduled in Ayodhya, preparations in Jaipur reflect the festive spirit. The lamp-making business in Gajsinghpura village is witnessing brisk activity, with workers engaged day and night in crafting lamps.
A considerable number of orders, totalling lakhs of rupees, have been placed, including substantial orders from Ayodhya. Some businesses have secured orders for two lakh lamps, while others have commitments for three lakh lamps. Traditionally, Ayodhya receives lamps from Jaipur every Diwali, and with the significant event of Ramlala’s establishment, this time is no exception.
The ordered lamps are set to be dispatched from January 15 to 17 through trucks. Additionally, orders from Alwar and other locations are contributing to the supply for this special occasion.
