On Friday, a mock drill was conducted to prevent terrorist activities at the Jaipur Airport. It alarmed the people present at the airport, however, they breathed a sigh of relief when they were informed that it was a mock drill.
It is worth noting that conducting three mock drills per year is mandatory at all airports across the country. These include anti-hijacking, anti-bomb, and anti-terrorism mock drills. Under this, the third and final mock drill of the year was conducted at Jaipur Airport. It is worth mentioning that the Terminal of Jaipur Airport has not been opened for ordinary passengers yet. While the cargo service is operational, there was not much crowd there.
During the event, CISF personnel surrounded the airport. Meanwhile, in a short time, the CISF dog squad and bomb squad also reached the spot. Along with this, the police and ambulance team were also deployed at the scene so that any emergency could be dealt with. All this was done under the mock drill related to a terrorist attack, which was completed around 1:20 pm during the day.
During the mock drill, on Friday at 11 am a scene of an attack by four terrorists was created at Terminal-1 of Jaipur Airport. During this, two terrorists entered a building in the terminal. Meanwhile, two terrorists moved towards the cargo area. The CISF team shot down the two terrorists outside. After this, the CISF team started a search operation to find the two terrorists hidden in Terminal 1. In a short time, another terrorist was killed during crossfire, while one terrorist was captured.
