IT raids uncover black money trail in businesses

The Income Tax Department has once again undertaken significant actions in Rajasthan, conducting simultaneous raids on homes and establishments of various businessmen in the state. Media reports indicate that the Income Tax Department’s team, reaching Jodhpur on Tuesday, conducted a raid at a businessman’s residence in Shastri Nagar. Searches were carried out at 16 locations across the state, targeting business groups in Pali and Jodhpur. Three business groups, including those connected to entrepreneur Gogad in Pali, are under investigation, with raids conducted at four factories and three houses related to Gogad.
Eyewitnesses report that the Income Tax Department’s officers arrived in Pali on Tuesday, deploying approximately 25 to 30 vehicles for conducting raids. The department raided an industrial unit in Pipiliya Kala, Raipur subdivision, Baver district.
Following these actions, panic has rippled through other businessmen in the region.
Notably, the Gogad group is engaged in the dining and printing business, operating under the Pranjul Fashion brand.
The extent of the raids conducted by over 800 IT officials from Delhi and Gujarat on homes and offices of IT officers in Rajasthan is yet to be disclosed.
