On Sunday, the RPSC conducted exams for several posts including Assistant Professors, Library Directors, and Physical Training Instructors. The challenge lies in preventing cheating, prompting the imposition of strict measures. The exams were scheduled from 12 noon to 2 pm, in Ajmer, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, and Udaipur district headquarters.
To ensure the confidentiality of the exam, a 3-hour internet shutdown was enforced, starting from 9 am in Jaipur. Furthermore, Section 144 was in effect within a 300-meter radius around the RPSC examination areas. Orders to shut down internet services were issued for Jaipur Commissionerate and other districts where exams are being conducted, such as Bharatpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Kota, Jodhpur, and Udaipur.
A total of 602 examination centres are hosting the exams across these district headquarters. The internet suspension includes 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G services, affecting SMS, MMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms during the exam duration. These measures are part of the government’s strategy to curb any malpractices and maintain the integrity of the examination process.
It is worth noting that this was the first successful exam conducted since the BJP government came to power in the state. CM Bhajan Lal expressed his gratitude to the administration and the police for the successful arrangements made for the exam.
The examination, however, witnessed some candidates arriving late and facing difficulties gaining entry, leading to emotional scenes and arguments with security personnel. In a dramatic turn of events, the husband of a late-arriving candidate was arrested by the police outside Vaishali Nagar Vrindavan School in Ajmer for creating a ruckus. In Bhilwara, a youth caused a disturbance over denied entry due to tardiness, with centre staff attempting to resolve the situation.
