Prime Minister Narendra Modi was scheduled to depart sharply at 08:30 on a three-nation tour, including Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman.

However, due to adverse weather conditions and dense fog in Delhi, his flight was delayed, affecting the initial schedule of the diplomatic visit. Officials have assured that the tour will continue as planned once conditions improve.

IMD Issues Orange Fog Alert

On Monday, Delhi experienced near-zero visibility as a thick layer of fog covered the city, slowing down early-morning traffic.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for fog, urging residents to remain cautious. Morning temperatures dropped to 12 degrees Celsius, adding to the chilly conditions.

The Prime Minister stated in his departure message that his first stop will be Jordan, where he will visit at the invitation of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein. He added that this historic trip will commemorate 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan.
