The Telangana Legislative Assembly elections have put the spotlight on the wealth of wives overshadowing their prominent husbands in the Congress party. The disclosure of assets in nomination affidavits has revealed a remarkable trend, with some female candidates showcasing assets exceeding those of their husbands.

Vijaya Reddy Leads the Pack: Vijaya Reddy, the Congress MLA candidate from the corporator constituency in Khairatabad, has emerged as a frontrunner in this unique trend. Her assets, valued at approximately Rs 26.50 crore, have outshone those of her husband GVB Reddy, who holds assets worth Rs 19.70 crore.

Danam Nagender Faces Asset Disparity: Former minister and Khairatabad BRS candidate Danam Nagender’s wife, Anita, has taken the lead in the asset race. With fixed assets totaling Rs 46.11 crore, Anita surpasses Danam Nagender’s assets valued at Rs 22.65 crore. However, it’s noteworthy that while Anita holds debts of only Rs 2 crore, Danam Nagender faces debts amounting to Rs 47.55 crore.

Mynampally Vani’s Substantial Assets: Malkajgiri Congress candidate and MLA Mainampalli Hanmantha Rao’s wife, Vani, has accumulated assets worth Rs 10.66 crore, surpassing Mainampally’s assets valued at Rs 4.17 crore. Five years ago, Vani’s assets were Rs 13.60 crore, indicating a slight decrease over the years.

Close Margin for Mutha Gopal: Mushirabad MLA Mutha Gopal’s assets marginally exceed those of his wife, Mutha Saroja. With assets worth Rs 3 crore, Mutha Gopal outpaces Mutha Saroja, who possesses assets valued at Rs 3.75 crore. Five years ago, Mutha Gopal held properties worth Rs 1.94 crore, while Mutha Saroja had properties worth Rs 2.68 crore.

Vivekananda Goud’s Wealthy Wife: Quthbullapur BRS candidate and MLA Vivekanand Goud’s wife, Saujanya, emerges as a wealthy woman with properties worth Rs 13.31 crore, surpassing Vivekananda’s assets valued at Rs 9.44 crore.
