VP-Elect Radhakrishnan to Take Oath as Vice President on September 12

C P Radhakrishnan, elected Vice President by a 152-vote margin, is likely to be sworn in on Friday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu is expected to administer the oath, pending official confirmation.

Vice President-elect C P Radhakrishnan will be sworn in on Friday, as per the sources.

The swearing-in is most likely to be held at 9:30 am at Rashtrapati Bhavan with President Droupadi Murmu to administer the oath, government and BJP sources said.

Official word on the schedule is still pending. Radhakrishnan, 67, was on Tuesday elected Vice President, beating the joint opposition nominee B Sudershan Reddy by
152 votes.

Radhakrishnan, currently serving as Governor of Maharashtra, is expected to quit the post by Thursday, sources said.
