With the deployment of snow cutters and JCB machines, most roads remain operational, ensuring smooth traffic flow. Travelers are advised to use 4×4 vehicles and anti-skid chains for safe navigation through snow-covered roads.
Meanwhile, Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh is grappling with intermittent rain and dense fog, shrouding the Dhauladhar mountains. Temperatures in areas like Naddi, Dharamkot, Bhagsunag, and McLeodganj dropped to 0–1°C overnight, with daytime highs reaching just 4–5°C. Fresh snowfall in the Dhauladhar range has heightened tourists’ anticipation for more winter magic.
In Shimla and surrounding regions, relentless rainfall and snowfall over the past 24 hours have triggered landslides and widespread disruptions. Melting snow, combined with continuous downpours, has further plunged temperatures, creating a harsh and biting cold across the region.
