Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an ambitious vision to revolutionize India’s railway infrastructure, promising to expand Vande Bharat trains to every corner of the country and initiate the development of bullet train services nation-wide.
PM Modi highlighted the government’s commitment to improving connectivity through the expansion of Vande Bharat trains during the announcement of the BJP manifesto, “Sankalp Patra.” Sleeper, Chaircar, and Metro are the three different Vande Bharat train styles that will be launched to meet the various travel demands of the country.
“BJP will expand Vande Bharat trains to every corner of the country. Three models of Vande Bharat will run in the country – Vande Bharat Sleeper, Vande Bharat Chaircar, and Vande Bharat Metro,” PM Modi, stating the commitment of the government to improve train services for all citizens.
Further, PM Modi announced plans to add three new trains to the network, which would run in North, South, and Eastern India. Drawing parallels to the existing Ahmedabad Mumbai Bullet Train project, Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that both ambitious projects will be completed on schedule, bringing in the future of high-speed rail travel throughout the nation.
“Today the work of the Ahmedabad Mumbai Bullet Train is going on in full swing and is almost reaching completion. In the same way, one Bullet Train will run in North India, one Bullet Train in South India and one Bullet Train in Eastern India. Survey work for this will also be started soon,” Prime Minister Modi outlined the government’s plan to gradually modernize India’s transportation network in his announcement.
The declaration is a major boost to India’s aspirations for improved connectivity and fast economic development, since the bullet train and Vande Bharat projects will likely encourage growth and enable smooth cross-regional travel.
While the BJP manifesto, ‘Sankalp Patra,’ lays out a roadmap for all-encompassing development and advancement, Prime Minister Modi’s vision for revolutionary railway projects highlights the government’s constant commitment to creating a more resistant and prosperous India.
