During the rally he said that when the BJP government will be formed in Himachal Pradesh, he will visit the state again.
“The government is building 26 green expressways in the country in the next three years. After they are ready, travel from Delhi to Dehradun, Haridwar or Jaipur can be done within just two hours. For BJP, nation is first then party. As much development work has not been done in 70 years as it has been done in a span of only 10 years. Himachal has immense potential for tourism, on which work is going on,” Gadkari said.
Patting MLA Katwal on the back, Gadkari said that last time also he has fulfilled the announcements made in this assembly constituency, make him victorious with huge votes, so that in the coming time, we can get the record breaking development work done in which the construction of roads and bridges is important.
He said that a proposal was sent to him by the Central Government and it would be completed immediately. Earlier in Himachal, he has announced ropeway in Kangra, Kullu, Bilaspur, Sirmaur and Palampur. Their work will start soon. He said that there is no shortage of water in Himachal Pradesh. A master plan will be prepared for how to use it. Gadkari also said that Himachal itself is a power generating state, the Government of India also gets a lot of benefits from Himachal. At the same time, every possible work is being done to improve the roads of Himachal from the point of view of tourism, because in this hill state of Himachal, tourists from all over the country and abroad come to visit here. Giving the example of the President of America, he said that as long as the roads of the state and the country are not correct, then that state and country cannot be rich and capable.
He exhorted said that 75 per cent construction of four lane from Pandoh bypass to Takoli on National Highway-21 (Chandigarh-Manali) in Himachal Pradesh has already been completed. This is a state-of-the-art project. This patch includes the construction of nine modern tunnels and a 140 m long bridge.
The four lane that is being built on the banks of the Beas river is strategically important. This road will connect famous tourist places like Kullu, Manali to Leh. Travel will be comfortable and save time. It will also provide safe movement of tourists throughout the year. Along with this, it will also facilitate the movement of armed forces in the border areas of Himachal Pradesh and Leh, said Gadkari in Rally.
