Mother Charan Kaur Reacts
Sidhu Moosewala’s mother, Charan Kaur, expressed her pain and sorrow through an emotional Instagram post in Punjabi.
Calling it an “attack on his memory” and a “wound to her soul,” she added:
“My son remained the voice of the people’s rights, and an attempt is being made to silence him even after he went to the Almighty.”
She said Moosewala’s legacy will live on, “I want to tell everyone that one day, the guilty will definitely be punished for their actions. Our silence is not our defeat.”
Statue Installed by JJP’s Digvijay Chautala
The statue was installed last year by JJP state president Digvijay Chautala. A few days before the shooting, he received a video clip from a foreign number on July 29, reportedly showing gunfire being directed at the statue.
According to a party source quoted by PTI, the video included a threat message, claiming that Moosewala’s supporters would be targeted next.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Takes Responsibility
As reported by Live Hindustan, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for the attack.
In a social media message, two individuals named Goldy Dhillon and Arzoo Bishnoi criticized those honoring Moosewala:
“Those who are giving Sidhu Moosewala the status of a martyr and misleading the public will face dire consequences.”
They further stated, “Statues should be installed for Bhagat Singh or a martyred soldier, not for the singer.”
