Haryana Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Rajkumar Makkar here on Monday signed an MoU with Amazon, a well-known company in the field of e-commerce. About 10,000 Divyangs of Haryana will be given employment by this company according to their working capacity. Soon, an MoU will also be signed with the ‘Youth for Job’ company, under which this company will also open the avenues of employment to 10,000 Divyangjans, he added.
Rajkumar Makkar informed that the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has special affection towards Divyangs, he wants that more and more Divyangs of the state to be made self-reliant by providing them employment on the basis of their skill and physical ability. He said that recently the Chief Minister had held a meeting with about one-hundred companies in Gurugram and motivated them to give employment to Divyangs in their respective companies. The effect of the Chief Minister’s encouragement was so strong that companies have given assurance of providing jobs. Not only this, “Amazon” and “Youth for Job” has gone a step ahead and started completing the process of MoU for providing employment to the
Divyangjans.
According to Makkar, Amazon has decided to appoint 1500 deaf and dumb people in Gurugram, Manesar and Faridabad in the first phase. They will be imparting training before the appointment. During the job, these Divyangs will work at the,’back end’. Not only this, keeping in mind their safety, the company will also provide a ‘pick and drop’ facility.

In this way, a total of 10,000 Divyangs will be given jobs by Amazon in a phased manner. He further said that the company “Youth for Job” with which Haryana Government will sign MoU, based on the applications coming for jobs, a survey will be done by that company which jobs are available to Divyangjans near their homes so that they do not face any problem in commuting.
