Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a conversation with prominent Indian gamers, delving into topics such as the distinction between gaming and gambling, the involvement of women in the gaming sector, and more. Video footage capturing the interaction reveals PM Modi posing insightful inquiries to the gamers.

Photographs capturing PM Modi trying his hand at various games were unveiled on Saturday, April 13. He also encouraged gamers to email his office, detailing their issues with precise key points.

The interaction featured well-known Indian gamers, including Animesh Agarwal, Naman Mathur, Mithilesh Patankar, Payal Dhare, Tirth Mehta, Ganesh Gangadhar, and Anshu Bisht.

Addressing the need for a regulatory body for gaming, PM Modi expressed his perspective, stating, “To regulate would not be ideal because it is the nature of government to intervene, that is its fundamental nature. Either impose restrictions under the law or try to understand and mould it basis our country’s needs. Bring it under an organised, legal structure and uplift the reputation.” He emphasized, “Once that is achieved, it will be hard for anyone to bring it down.”

Encouraging gamers to consider developing games on diverse subjects, including ‘Swachh Bharat,’ PM Modi suggested that unnecessary government intervention, particularly in terms of establishing a regulatory body for gaming, is not required for the middle class.

PM Modi underscored his vision for the nation’s progress, stating, “My endeavour is to uplift the nation to a level that by 2047, …. It is the poor who need the government the most in difficult times…” He proposed that Swachh Bharat should focus on cleanliness and remarked, “Every child should play this,” as reported by ANI.
