The Nandamuri family is in deep mourning after the passing of Smt. Padmaja, the wife of Nandamuri Jayakrishna, in the early hours of Tuesday. She was 73.
Padmaja was respected for her dignity and grace. She was the eldest daughter-in-law of legendary actor and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) and Smt. Basava Rama Tarakam.

A Strong Pillar in the Nandamuri Family

Padmaja was one of the most significant members of the Nandamuri family. She shared in the family’s long history in public life, politics, and film. She was wed to NTR’s second son, Jayakrishna.

She was married to Jayakrishna, NTR’s second son. Family members recall her as someone who was always there for them, offering strength and support despite her reserved demeanor.

Link to Political and Cinema Families

Padmaja was also closely associated with another powerful family. She was Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s sister, a prominent politician. This relationship connected her to the political arteries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well as the film industry.

Reports suggest Padmaja had been unwell for some time. She was under medical treatment for health-related issues.

On Monday night, her condition became serious when she suffered severe breathing problems. She was taken right away to the hospital. She died in the early hours of Tuesday after medical attempts failed to revive her.

Leaders and Family Pay Their Respects

The news of her passing has deeply saddened political and film circles. According to reports, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, who is also the son-in-law of NTR, rushed from Vijayawada to be with the family.

Padmaja’s sister-in-law and BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari is also traveling from Delhi to pay her respects. Many more family members, close friends, and colleagues from the political and cinema worlds are expected to visit the family home to offer condolences.

Final Rites to Be Announced Soon

The final ceremonies and funeral plans are anticipated to be announced soon by the family. Since the Nandamuri family is well-known, many people will probably come to say goodbye to Padmaja one more time.

In addition to becoming NTR’s daughter-in-law, Padmaja will be recognized for having contributed significantly to the Nandamuri family’s history. Everyone who knew her loved and respected her because of her strength and serene demeanor.
