Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir expressed happiness in joining Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide campaign against obesity. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the harmful effects of excessive edible oil consumption and promote a healthier lifestyle.
PM Modi, in his address during Mann Ki Baat on Sunday, nominated Omar Abdullah along with nine others to help strengthen the fight against obesity.

Omar Abdullah Expands the Movement
Responding to the nomination, Omar Abdullah further extended the campaign by nominating 10 more people to join the initiative and help spread awareness about obesity.
“I’m very happy to join the campaign against obesity launched by PM @narendramodi ji. Obesity causes a number of lifestyle related health issues like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, strokes & breathing problems not to mention mental health conditions like anxiety & depression. Today I’m nominating these 10 people to join the PM’s campaign against obesity & requesting them to nominate a further 10 people each to take this fight forward,” the J&K CM wrote on X.
