In connection with the Nuh violence case, the Nuh Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Tuesday sentenced Congress Member of the Legislative Assembly Mamman Khan to 14 days in judicial custody. After the previous two days of police remand were up, the Nuh district court on Sunday ordered the Congress MLA to serve an additional two days in custody.
Mamman Khan’s lawyer Tahir Hussain Devla said, “Mamman Khan was presented in the court after 2 days of police remand. Police presented Mamman Khan in four cases. Three more new cases have been imposed on Mamman Khan. In all four new cases, 149,137,148,150 have been imposed on him. He has been produced today in case number 149 after two days of remand. In case number 137, the police had sought a remand of five days, on which the court has given a remand of 2 days to the police.”
According to Mamman Khan’s attorney, Mamman Khan is being linked to this entire incident through a political plot and has nothing to do with it. The district court sentenced MLA Mamman Khan, who was detained on September 15 in connection with the recent racial clashes in Nuh and surrounding areas of the state, to a two-day police remand. On Friday, Khan was reportedly brought to Nuh after being taken into custody at the home of a relative on the Jaipur-Ajmer road.
Later on September 15, Khan, who had been detained by a Haryana police special investigation team, was presented before a district court in Nuh. The police then asked the court for his custody so they could question him.
