‘No one will be spared if wrong’ BJP MP Agnimitra Paul comments on ED’s summon to Nusrat Jahan

West Bengal BJP State Secretary Agnimitra Paul said on Tuesday that there is a Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in the country and no one will be spared if caught doing corruption. Paul went on to say that if the claims against the Trinamool MP are true, she will be punished as well.
Meanwhile, Trinamool MP Nusrat Jahan arrived at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Kolkata on Tuesday after being called in connection with a complaint submitted by a group of senior people accusing a real estate company of defrauding them by promising them flats in Kolkata’s New Town.
Upon her arrival, as the media approached her for a reaction, she remained tight-lipped.
According to the complaint, Nusrat Jahan was a former director of the company until 2017. Nusrat is currently a member of the Lok Sabha from the Basirhat seat.
“This is the Modi Government; you can be a chief minister, a politician, or a movie star, but if you swindle people, you will not be spared… Retirees handed Nusrat Jahan crores of rupees from their life savings to acquire a flat. They didn’t get the apartment or the money. “The investigation is ongoing, and if there is evidence, Nusrat Jahan will face punishment,” said Agnimitra Paul.
