Making their first arrest in the NEET-UG Exam Paper Leak case, the central bureau of Investigation (CBI) has caught two culprits named Manish Prakash and Ashutosh Kumar.
They were arrested, after the duo were called for questioning. The prime culprit Manish Prakash had chosen Learn and Play School in Patna’s Khemni Chak just a day before NEET exams. Coincidentally, the partially burnt leaked question paper was found by the police.
The booking for this school was made via his friend Ashutosh, who was also arrested by the CBI.
Meanwhile, CBI has also caught two more suspects Baldev Kumar alias Chintu and Mukesh Kumar. Later, they were taken to CBI office from Beur Jail. In addition, they also underwent medical examination.
Currently, the central agency is probing, that how this leaked paper landed in this school. CBI is also probing the role of Manish Prakash and Ashutosh Kumar in this NEET-UG paper leak.
For those unversed, following the NEET-UG results on May 5, the students alleged irregularities in the exam, as 67 students had acquired perfect score of 720 out of 720. As a result, it generated public protests in several parts of the country.
The political parties too raised a lot of question over this issue. But eventually, the investigation was initiated. As per Bihar’s government notification, the case was transferred to CBI for thorough investigation.
