Mithun Charaborty, an actor who joined Bhartiya Janta Party responded critically to former Pakistan Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s warning to India on Tuesday. Bilwala ‘s warning was in regard to changes to the Indus Water Treaty, to which Mithun replied while talking to Kolkata reporters, “Agar aisi baatein karte rahenge aur humari khopdi sanak gayi toh phir ek ke baad ek BrahMos chalega (If such statements continue and we lose our patience, then BrahMos missiles will be launched one after another).”
Mithun continued with wit and sarcasm and said, “We have also thought of building a dam where 140 crore people will pee. After that, we will open the dam, and a tsunami will occur. I have nothing against the people of Pakistan. I have said all of this for him (Bilawal Bhutto).”

What did Bilawal Say?
During an event hosted by the Sindh government’s Culture Department, Bilwal accused the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that his water project on Indus is attacking Pakistan’s heritage, culture and civilization, especially Sindh. He asserted that the project posed a direct threat to Pakistan’s water security and connected it to what he alleged, ‘India’s defeat in a military clash’ in May.

Previously, Bilawal said that the country will ‘go to war’ if denied Indus water shares in the Pakistan parliament.
India’s Suspension of the Treaty
India suspended the 1960 Indus Water Treaty in April, after the deadly Pahalgam Terror Attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent people. In retaliation, Home Minister Amit Shah stated that this treaty will never be reinstated.
Bilawal’s remarks follow the recent comments made by Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir, asserting a nuclear threat from the soil of the United States.
