Malayalam actor Rini Ann George has made a serious allegation against a young politician in Kerala. She said the leader, who is often seen in TV debates and protests, had sent her offensive and inappropriate messages several times. Rini, known for her role in the Pakru-starrer 916 Kunjoottan, revealed this while addressing the media in Kochi on Wednesday.

Her statement came after an online interview went viral. Although reports claim that the politician is an MLA, she refused to reveal his name or party affiliation.

“I Am Speaking Up for Other Women”

Rini said her decision to come forward was not just for herself. “I have not suffered any assault; I only received these messages. But through my friends, I learned that several other women faced harassment, and I am speaking up for them,” she said.

The actor claimed the first incident happened three years ago when the politician invited her for his “needs”. She said, “When I threatened him, he challenged me to carry on. ‘Who cares’ was his attitude.”

Offensive Messages Continued for Years

According to Rini, the inappropriate messages did not stop even after she reacted strongly. “He once said, Let’s book a room in a five-star hotel, you should come. At that time, I reacted strongly. Afterwards, there was no trouble for a while. But then it was repeated,” she said.

She also revealed that the last message she received from him was in February this year. Rini added that she first came into contact with him through social media.

Party Leadership Was Informed

Rini said she had complained to the party leadership about the leader’s behavior. But instead of action, she was told, “We will resolve it, don’t worry.” Later, the same leader was given higher positions in the party.

She added, “Many people had come forward with complaints — that’s why I am saying at least this much.” Rini stressed that if the political party had moral values, they should take responsibility and act against such young leaders.

Actor Refuses to File Police Complaint

Despite the seriousness of the issue, Rini Ann George said she would not file a police complaint. She explained, “If I file a complaint, I will put myself in danger. That will be the only result.”

The actor instead urged women to be cautious in electing public representatives. “I urge women in the country to elect public representatives wisely,” she said.

Rini concluded by asking senior politicians to control young leaders and ensure morality in politics. Her stand has now sparked debate in Kerala’s political and film circles, raising questions about accountability and the safety of women who face harassment from powerful figures.
