That Codava district has launched a three-day ‘Har ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate the 79th Independence Day for India. The initiative started Tuesday via the office of the Deputy Commissioner Venkat Raja at Madikeri.

It is intended to persuade citizens to hoist the national flag upside in their homes and participate in several patriotic activities in the district. August 13 through 15 will be spent putting spirit in the hearts of Kodagu people over national pride.
Multi-departmental Engagement
Several departments include revenue, panchayat raj, school education and literacy, pre-university education, social welfare, backward classes welfare, urban development, municipal administration and Kannada and culture.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that such events will take place at district levels, taluk and gram panchayat as to not exclude anyone.

The public would be encouraged to upload selfies to https://hargartiranga.com and show how they are partaking in this nationwide celebration for posterity.
The initiative includes programmed in the municipalities, town panchayats and city councils-simultaneously, schools, colleges and their hostels are participating through various events to instill sentiments of patriotism in students.

Community Involvement at the Ground Level
R. Aishwarya, additional deputy commissioner, mentioned many programmed done so far in schools, colleges and heritage sites and appealed to the public to keep adding momentum to the campaign’s success.
Community involvement is the key to a meaningful and memorable celebration for Independence Day, she argued.
Extending the Campaign to Panchayats and Hostels
Shekhar, deputy director, social welfare department and executive officer of taluk panchayat, clarified that the campaign involved gram panchayats and hostels across Kodagu.
A smooth organization of activities concerning all levels has and been ensured, accessible to all classes of society.

Kodagu district administration has attached all individuals to his active participation and involvement in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ its real essence of unity and patriotism.
