Kasturba Medical College (KMC) in Mangalore, which is part of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in Manipal, celebrated its 70th anniversary on Friday, 24th May, at the Dr T M A Pai International Convention Centre in Mangalore.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Ganesh N. Nayak, Executive Director, Zydus Lifesciences Limited, and marked by the presence of esteemed guests, faculty, and students. Dr. Unnikrishnan B, Dean, KMC, Mangalore, commenced the event by delivering a welcome address, and Dr Gagan Bajaj, Associate Professor, MCHP, was the master of the ceremony.
Nayak said in his speech, “It’s an honor to be here at Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, celebrating its 70th anniversary. Dr. Unnikrishnan B, Dean of KMC Mangalore, presented the College Report 2023, followed by honoring endowment awardees, batch toppers, outstanding sportsmen, and student council members, among others.
At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Pramod Kumar, Associate Dean of KMC Mangalore, gave a warm vote of thanks, appreciating dignitaries, faculty, students, press, media, and all attendees.
