“Will Not Go With BJP Again”, says Manohar Lal while Dismissing Chautala’s statement

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday took a swipe at former Deputy Chief Minister and JJP Chief Dushyant Chautala over his recent statement declaring that he would not ally with the BJP in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Responding to Chautala’s comments, Khattar quipped, “Who invited him?”

Expressing confidence in the BJP’s prospects, Khattar asserted that the party will secure a third consecutive term in Haryana under his leadership. “BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third time, setting a new record. We will achieve victory under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini,” Khattar said, emphasizing the party’s strength.

Chautala, during an interview on Sunday, declared that the JJP would not form an alliance with the BJP in the upcoming polls. “I can on record assure you that I will not go with BJP again,” Chautala stated. He further claimed that the JJP would emerge as the “most important” political force in the state in the days to come.

Following the 2019 Assembly elections, the BJP formed the government in Haryana with the support of 10 JJP MLAs, resulting in Chautala becoming the Deputy Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also weighed in on the matter, suggesting that the Congress aims to weaken the JJP. He advised Chautala to remain steadfast and avoid aligning with the Congress, specifically cautioning against any association with Deepender Hooda. “BJP will win with a full majority in the state assembly election. I just want Chautala ji to stay strong and not incline towards Hooda ji,” Saini remarked.

The Haryana Assembly, comprising 90 seats, is set to go to the polls on October 1, with results expected on October 4. The political landscape remains charged, with key alliances and rivalries shaping up ahead of the election.
